After a year, we found ourselves back in Vienna, feeling at home, cozy, beautiful, and majestic. For a few days, we strolled through these vibrant streets, indulged in art at the Belvedere museums, walked through the modern architectural wonder of the Vienna University Campus, visited craft shops and a massive craft beer store, sat on a bench in the museum quarter, and, of course, took a refreshing walk in the park after the rain.
Belvedere Palace, Vienna, Austria
The Belvedere Palace is not just another architectural monument, but a true Baroque masterpiece. The Lower Belvedere preserves the ambiance of the apartments of the Prince of Savoy, showcasing collections of sculptures and paintings. In the Upper Belvedere, magnificent collections of 19th and 20th-century art are displayed, including works by Monet and Van Gogh, Renoir and Schiele, Kokoschka, and the renowned Austrian artist Gustav Klimt.
Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria
The creation of the new campus of the Vienna University of Economics and Business involved globally renowned architects. As a result, Vienna now boasts not only a new university but also a new destination for anyone interested in architecture.
In the new university campus, the most striking feature is the unique library building, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. It serves as the centerpiece, surrounded by other structures. The futuristic architecture captivates attention with its originality. The interior spaces are equally practical, considering it is a university campus after all.
